World War Z

This was actually a Christmas gift to my husband but I grabbed it as soon as he was done with it.  Somehow, miraculously, I have not had any zombie-related nightmares over the past several weeks.  I was sneaking reading moments at every opportunity because I wanted to know what morsel I was going to learn next.

The premise of the book is that humankind went to war with the zombies and it’s really questionable who won.  The “oral history” aspect of it is what keeps it from being just a schlock zombie novel.  Because of that narrative style, there are so many questions that you are left with, loose ends or fragments of someone’s story and you just are never entirely sure what’s going on.

Recommended if you’re into anything post-apocalyptic or zombie-related.
